1. Who we are
This policy explains how The Rigby Corporation ("Rigby," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our apps, website, and computing service (together, the "Service").
For personal information in your account, Rigby is the controller. When a company provides Rigby to its team, that company controls the data in its workspace, and we process it on the company's behalf.
2. What we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, and password or sign-in provider; your company and team details if you use Rigby with your company; and anything you send us, such as support requests.
Billing information: our payment processor collects your card details directly. We receive only limited details, such as your card type, last four digits, and billing address.
Service and device information: your laptop's model, operating system, and app version; how much computing power, memory, and storage you use and when; connection status; and crash reports. We keep these records to bounded, structured fields.
Website information: pages you visit, your browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
3. What we don't collect
Your files, code, terminal sessions, and the work your agents do ("Your Content") pass through and are stored on the Service so it can run for you. We don't read Your Content, analyze it for advertising, or record it in our operational logs, and we don't use it to train AI models.
We access Your Content only when you ask us to, such as for a support request, or when the law requires it.
4. Connected accounts
If you connect an account such as GitHub, we store the access it grants in encrypted form and use it only for the actions you allow. You can disconnect it at any time, and we'll delete the stored access.
5. How we use information
We use personal information to: provide, run, and secure the Service; size and scale computing power for your work; bill you; respond to support requests; send service messages, such as receipts and security alerts; understand and improve how the Service performs; and prevent fraud and abuse.
With your permission, we may also send product updates and marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time.
6. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share it only with: service providers who help us run Rigby, such as cloud hosting, networking, payment processing, and email, under contracts that limit their use of it; your company, if you use Rigby through a Team or Enterprise plan; a buyer or successor if Rigby is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; and authorities, when the law requires or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and others.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use analytics only with your consent where the law requires it, and you can change your choice at any time.
8. How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is open. After you close your account, we delete Your Content within 30 days and other personal information within 90 days, except where we need to keep it longer for legal, tax, security, or dispute reasons.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and audited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll notify you without undue delay if a breach affects your personal information.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. You can do most of this from your account settings, or by emailing us.
We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
11. International transfers
Rigby is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process information in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Children
Rigby isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
